How do your favourite animated movies create movement from still images?
In this hands-on workshop, students will work in pairs to create their own stop motion animation using tablets, simple props, and a range of creative materials. From planning a story to capturing each frame, they'll discover how patience, teamwork, and attention to detail combine to create the illusion of movement.
As they build their animations, students will explore storytelling, character design, camera techniques, and audio, while learning how small changes between each frame create smooth animation. They'll test ideas, solve creative challenges, and refine their films before sharing them with the group.
This workshop blends digital creativity, storytelling, and collaboration into an engaging introduction to the world of animation.
