How do you build something tall, strong, and stable when you only have a handful of simple materials?
In this hands-on engineering workshop, students will work with straws and tape to design and construct the tallest free-standing tower they can. With limited resources, they'll need to think critically, plan carefully, and adapt their designs as they test and improve them.
Along the way, students will discover how engineers use creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving to overcome real-world design challenges. They'll explore concepts such as structural stability, weight distribution, and the importance of testing and refining ideas through trial and error.
This workshop combines engineering, creativity, and critical thinking in a fun, collaborative challenge that encourages resilience and innovation.
