In this school holiday workshop, groups will create a short, stop-motion animation using green screen, a technique that is used in many films to achieve spectacular effects.

We will be bringing back the “Ideas Pot” the previous Cairns Scratch Up workshop, inspiring creativity for storytelling, enabling groups to produce a movie that includes images, movement, sound and special effects.

The workshop includes a short break for lunch. Children will not be permitted to leave the workshop without an adult, so please BYO lunch or snack.

Sessions Times:

Tuesday, 17 January - 10am to 1:30pm
- Wednesday, 18 January - 10am to 1:30pm
- Friday, 20 January - 10am to 1:30pm
- Saturday, 21 January - 10am to 1:30pm

Learning outcomes

Participants practise creative problem solving, engineering thinking, testing, iteration and collaboration through a practical hands-on activity.

Materials supplied
