Paper Marble Coasters

Get ready to unleash your inner engineer in the first STEM session of 2025 at the Herberton Library! We'll be using our knowledge of physics to design and build the ultimate paper marble coasters. It's time to harness the power of potential and kinetic energy and create a coaster that will have marbles zooming and looping like never before.

We'll be learning about the physics behind roller coasters, and using that knowledge to design and build our very own marble coasters. It's going to be an exciting and engaging workshop, where you'll get to put your problem-solving skills to the test and create something truly unique.

This workshop is made possible through the support of Tablelands Regional Council.

Learning outcomes

Participants practise creative problem solving, engineering thinking, testing, iteration and collaboration through a practical hands-on activity.
