Paper Speakers

Explore the science of sound and electromagnetism as you build your own working paper speaker using simple materials like paper, magnets and wire. You will discover how electrical signals can be turned into vibrations that create sound.

During the workshop, you will learn how electromagnets work, how speakers convert energy into movement, and how design choices affect volume and sound quality. By building and testing your speaker, you will develop practical electronics skills while experimenting with real world physics concepts.

This hands on session encourages curiosity, creativity and problem solving while transforming basic materials into a functioning audio device.

This workshop is made possible through the support of Tablelands Regional Council.
