Popsicle Bridges

Take on the challenge of structural engineering by designing and building a popsicle stick bridge that can span a gap with no supports underneath. Your goal is to create a strong and stable bridge capable of carrying a moving object across safely.

Throughout the workshop, you will explore key engineering concepts such as load distribution, tension, compression and structural reinforcement. By testing and improving your designs, you will learn how different shapes and building techniques affect strength and performance.

Can your bridge beat the record set by previous builders? This hands on challenge encourages teamwork, problem solving and creative design while pushing your engineering skills to the limit.

This workshop is made possible through the support of Tablelands Regional Council.
