It’s Alive Stop Motion Animation

This workshop offers a hands-on experience in crafting stop motion animations inspired by nature. Participants, working in pairs, will use materials and imagery sourced from botanical gardens and tanks, learning animation techniques, storytelling basics, and audio integration. Through this guided session, they'll develop short nature-focused narrative, design characters using natural elements, and refine their animations. The workshop encourages creativity, with a deeper connection with nature. The workshop will finish with a showcase of participants' animations and reflections on the creative process.

This workshop is supported by Cairns Regional Council and Flame.arts
